Will Richter, an educator and musician then-living in Woodstock, IL, founded DarkSide Coffee Roasters in January of 2018. A frying pan, a single pound of green coffee from Indonesia, and a passion for great coffee fueled the project, which has grown into a full-scale operation with two air roasters and caffeinated customers in 13 states nationwide.
